It's Walk Day!
One of the most commonly asked questions we hear is: what can I expect the day of the Walk?
1. Get ready, get set!
The Walk for Awareness takes place rain or shine. Free parking is available. Please follow 'Event Parking' signs to access the lot.
2. Make the most of your day!
Registration and pre-Walk activities begin at 11 am. Please remember to check-in at our registration desk to pick up your Walk t-shirt.
If you have earned a prize, remember to stop by our Prize Station to make your claim.
Walkers will line up at the Englewood Field Club, across the street from Englewood Hospital and Medical Center at 1 pm for a 5K loop through the City of Englewood.
5. Have fun!
Enjoy the sights and remember to say hello to our friends and partners stationed through the City. They will offer water and snacks to help you along the way. Volunteers will greet you as you complete your walk and share goodies to enjoy on your way back home!
About the Walk for Awareness
EHMC Foundation’s annual Walk for Awareness was first organized in 1999 by Paul and Jill Fader following her successful battle against breast cancer. The Walk mobilizes hundreds of walkers each year and raises funds to provide uninsured women in our community with access to a range of healthcare services including mammograms, genetic testing and other screening and diagnostic testing at EHMC's Leslie Simon Breast Care and Cytodiagnosis Center. The Susan Lucianna Memorial Dog Walk, launched in 2008 by Diane Lucianna in memory of her sister, Susan, gives participants an opportunity to have their furry best friend join in on the fun. To date, the Walk for Awareness has raised over $1 million.
Together, we can make a difference. Join us!
